You will need to demonstrate a proven ability and willingness to study and develop your skills and knowledge to successfully complete the Regulatory Compliance Officer (RCO) Apprenticeship and then Stage 1 of the Trading Standards vocational qualification.

You will join our forward thinking Trading Standards Service, which combines a commercial approach to supporting businesses and income generation with a range of innovative problem solving enforcement tactics to protect our communities, particularly more vulnerable residents.

With our strong record for developing and advancing officers though our four tier career scheme we are well placed to provide mentoring and support to the right candidates who demonstrate the potential needed.

A condition of this employment is the successful completion of the Regulatory Compliance Officer Apprenticeship Standard, level 4. The duration of this Apprenticeship is 24 months. In order to complete this Apprenticeship you must achieve L2 Functional Skills in English and maths.
