Social Worker

You will be responsible for both the assessment of individual needs and the initiation and coordination of a range of outcomes to meet them, promoting the principles of choice and control, personalisation and self-directed support to ensure that service users can assess and manage their own needs, risks and uncertainties. Working alongside other Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Community Care Officers in a fast paced, supportive team, you will need to have good organisational skills, the ability to undertake assessments with clients and their carers and an ability to manage a case load of mixed priority work.
You must have a recognised Social work qualification and at least 2 years’ experience of care work, with a sound knowledge base of relevant social care legislation. Desirable requirements are an experience of working with adults, safeguarding experience and experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.

You will receive regular supervision, both formally and informally and be supported to attend training to progress your career and meet Social Work England’s continued professional development requirements. We require both Band A and B applicants. For Band B, you must have at least 2 years’ experience as a qualified Social Worker. Posts are open to both newly qualified and experienced social workers.
