Could you make a difference to someone’s life?

Become a Care or Reablement Support Worker for Nottinghamshire County Council

Could you be a valued member of a team of relief workers providing vital social care to older and younger adults using our services across Nottinghamshire?

You will be able to work flexibly across one or more of our locations around the county as most of our services operate on a 24/7 basis.

As a relief care or support worker, you’ll provide care or reablement support to individuals staying or living with us or using our services. This will involve assisting with personal care, helping people to make choices with the activities of daily life and engaging in activities that are important to the people you are working with. Every day is different and includes various activities in the service or the local community.

No previous experience is needed, and training will be provided.

The work is flexible and can work around your other commitments.

In return, Nottinghamshire County Council offers fair and competitive rates of pay, a good annual leave allowance and excellent training. If successful, you will initially be recruited as a relief worker, but could potentially progress to other roles and would receive support with your development and career progression.

As part of the recruitment process you will need to provide two suitable referees for employment references and undertake a DBS check.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
