The posts are either specified in the Act or contained in a list which the County Council is required to prepare and maintain.  The list includes specified and sensitive positions.

We have an opportunity in our Corporate & Environmental Law Team and are looking for a solicitor/barrister to join our award-winning Legal Team. We’re a friendly team and can promise that the work will be challenging, varied and rewarding.

The role will involve advising on planning and highways matters including advising regulatory committees of the Council as the Local Planning Authority and Highways Authority.

The role is open to lawyers experienced in this field but may also suit newly qualified lawyers or those looking to expand on their legal knowledge or experience. Previous experience within a local government context relevant to the role being applied for is desirable but not essential. You must however be able demonstrate that they have a keen interest in working in the public sector and a willingness to learn new areas of law.
