A number of exciting opportunities have arisen for both qualified and unqualified professionals within our Adult Social Care teams. These new jobs have been created to enable us to meet the increasing demands for Care and Support Services.

Whether you’re an experienced professional, a newly qualified graduate or someone with a passion for caring, these roles present a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your career in adult social care.

There has never been a better time to join Nottinghamshire as we have mobilised our social care teams and issued all employees with tablet devices to enable them to work more flexibly and reduce overall travel time.

What we offer:

  • Latest technology enabling you to work flexibly
  • Mileage payment
  • An Electric vehicle car leasing scheme
  • A career pathway that provides comprehensive induction, training and development
  • Excellent occupational pension scheme
  • A flexible work environment where you feel valued and supported
  • Generous annual leave in addition to 8 days statutory bank holidays

If you are great with people, helpful and enthusiastic and have 2 years’ experience of caring and supporting people either in a paid, personal, or voluntary capacity then you could be just the person we’d be proud to welcome to our team here in Nottinghamshire.

Our priority is to provide good quality social care service to Nottinghamshire residents, in particular focussing on:

  • Promoting independence and wellbeing
  • Ensuring value for money
  • Promoting choice and control

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to adapt a strength-based approach
  • Great communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Commitment and personal drive to excellent customer care
  • Able to use a range of information technology applications
  • Have a good standard of education for the Community Care Officer roles.

You’ll be working on a 37 hours per week contract and we operate a flexible working time scheme around this, as well as a job share scheme for all full-time posts.  The teams have adapted hybrid working, where you will be partly office and partly home based.

In return, you’ll get real opportunities to shine and develop a career with us including building up knowledge and understanding of social care services.  You’ll join a friendly and welcoming team and receive plenty of support to help you reach your potential.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
