An opportunity has arisen for someone who is interested in gaining experience within a County Council planning service to work as a Planning Officer at Nottinghamshire County Council, owing to the maternity leave of the present postholder 

The Council operates a flexible working system and the post can be worked from home.

You will have a Degree in a related subject, have knowledge and interest in land-use planning, some awareness of minerals or waste planning matters, be IT literate using spreadsheets and able to use mapping software, enjoy working as part of a team, be able to produce well written reports to meet deadlines and have effective inter-personal skills 

You will be part of a small planning policy team responsible for making plans for mineral extraction and managing waste, providing advice on large planning applications and proposals in Nottinghamshire and supporting development projects across the County.

The post will be available for up to a year, when the postholder returns from Maternity Leave.
