Nottinghamshire County Council Catering & Facilities Management Department are looking to recruit a Permanent 37 hour per week Customer Service Officer for Newark Bus Station. You will be working as part of a Facilities Team who look after the security & cleaning of the Bus Station Site and support members of the public (bus station users) and bus operators on a daily basis.

The post does include an element of lone working.

Duties will include the security of the building (alarms and key holding), cleaning and caretaking related work and communicating with members of the public / bus operators in order to share information and assist bus station users in their travel requirements.

The bus station is open to the public between 7.00m and 7.00pm 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday) the station is also open on Good Friday.

You will be required to work across these hours on a rotating shift system, to ensure required staffing levels are achieved. The shift pattern is as follows; 6.45am to 1.15pm & the alternative shift is 12.45pm to 7.15pm. Monday to Saturday.

You will have demonstrated high levels of customer care as daily communication with members of the public and bus operators is a vital part of this post. In addition, experience of working within the area of Site Management and Security is also important. Previous experience of working at Bus Depots or within the area of transportation is also desirable.
