Caretaker
Nottinghamshire County Council Building Cleaning Service, in conjunction with Sutton-Cum-Lound Primary school require a new Caretaker. Working 20 hours per week on a term time basis, this would be working 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday. We are open to discussions on some flexibility for these working hours if the preferred candidate however you will still be either/or responsible for locking and unlocking the school respectively.
In the role you will be required to oversee the cleaning of the school, maintain the building and offer a range of caretaking services for the benefit of pupils, parents and staff. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills. You will be a key holder with responsibility for securing the site. You will be expected to deliver the full range of caretaking, maintenance, janitorial and occasional cleaning duties. In addition to these duties we would like someone who can support and ensuring the external grounds can be kept clean and tidy, this may involve gardening duties, which overtime can be provided to support with any additional duties the school can offer.

You will wear a provided uniform and need to be flexible in your approach to occasional changes in the locking up time. We want you to work positively with staff, pupils and parents and are looking for someone to join our fantastic team.
Previous experience of this type of work would be advantageous and ideally you will have a high degree of commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for staff, pupils and visitors to the school.
