We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic team player to join our dynamic Trading Standards Service to help shape and drive our service forward.

In this Trading Standards Investigator role your main focus will be on businesses selling age restricted products, working with partner agencies to reduce the harm caused by illegal sales of vapes, tobacco and alcohol to young people.

Nottinghamshire Trading Standards enjoys high levels of recognition locally, regionally, and nationally, and are proud to host the National Trading Standards Regional Investigations Team for the East Midlands.

We are at the forefront in developing the role played by Trading Standards, combining a range of innovative, problem solving approaches to protecting our communities, including major investigations and scams work, with a dedicated commercial team focused on providing support to a large and growing number of businesses.

You will have substantial experience of working in an investigatory enforcement role and have the associated comprehensive knowledge of legal procedural legislation etc. You must also demonstrate experience of effective partnership working and a proven ability to lead successful projects.
