Due to relocation of the current post holder, the Governors of this successful village primary school seek to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, caring and creative Care Worker to work 1:1 with a child with significant special educational needs.

Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience of supporting children within education, will possess excellent communication skills and be able to cope under pressure and demonstrate a caring, compassionate and emphatic nature which is vital to the success of this role.

The successful candidates will:-

• Believe in an enriching and child centred approach to learning

• Be able to enthuse and motivate the pupil and make school life a positive and enjoyable experience

• Have an understanding of strategies to support and aid learning of children with special educational needs

• Assist with their personal and health care needs when required

• Providing personal assistance to the pupil in physical and practical activities

• Support the child in developing their skills within day-to-day activities

• Keeping records relating to the pupils personal needs

• Be a committed and a hardworking team member

• Be committed to supporting and promoting the distinctively Christian ethos of our School

• Be able to build positive relationships with staff, the child and their parents
