We have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, skilled and highly motivated Advanced Social Work Practitioner (ASWP) to work within the Mansfield Living Well Team on a secondment until the end of August 2024.

Mansfield Living Well team is a well-established supportive team working and supporting people living in the Nottinghamshire area primarily aged 18 - 65 with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health. 

Nottinghamshire County Council support strength-based practice and we aim to make a real difference to the lives of adults with disabilities and their carers. 

All our work is underpinned in accordance with The Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005. Good Communication, time management and IT skills are essential.

Mansfield Living Well Team has a long history of multi-disciplinary and partnership working with other agencies. You will also undertake Adult Safeguarding investigations and take an active role in Decision Support Tool Meetings for joint health funded packages. You will be expected to act as a duty manager on a rota basis and to supervise staff within our team. 

As ASWP you will take part in team engagement sessions (huddles) regularly including weekly case allocation meetings, act as duty manager, weekly manager catch up meetings and act as safeguarding manager , have specialist knowledge or an interest in Learning Disability or Physical Disability along with taking responsibility for supervision for a small number of Community Care Officers.

In return for your commitment we will provide a supportive team environment with access to develop your own professional practice. You will receive regular supervision, both formally and informally and be supported to attend training to progress your career in management along with regular continued professional development and reflective practice sessions monthly.
