We are seeking an enthusiastic Network Engineer to join our friendly and dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include 3rd line, maintenance, support and ownership of the Authorities LAN/WAN infrastructure and services, as well as involvement in project delivery activities.

Methodical in your approach to work, and able to deliver to deadlines, ideally you will have knowledge and experience of network switching, routing, and supporting services within enterprise LAN / WAN infrastructure, however we are willing to consider candidates with limited experience, provided they can demonstrate a fundamental understanding of networking concepts within an enterprise environment and an eagerness to development their skillset.

Skills and/or experience, in the configuration and deployment of the following would be desirable,

  • Cisco / Extreme / Azure Virtual Network devices
  • Firewalls (Checkpoint, CiscoASA, PaloAlto)
  • Reverse Proxy Servers (Bluecoat)
  • Load Balancers (F5)
  • Wireless LAN Controllers / Access Points (Cisco, Extreme)
  • Network management and diagnostic tools (SolarWinds)

  • Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team
  • Good inter-personal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Willingness to learn
