Mapplewells Primary and Nursery School sits in the heart of Sutton in Ashfield and is a proud member of the Flying High Trust. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become the Site Manager at our wonderful school.  Mapplewells has a strong reputation within the local community that is built on high expectations and being a proud Mapplewellian! We equip our children with essential knowledge and skills to enable them to achieve strong academic success as well as essential learning for life – SUCCESS is in our hands! We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic, committed, highly organised and proud Site Manager. This is a key role in our school and the successful applicant will be responsible for both the security, safety, and maintenance of our site on a daily basis. They will make sure the school and grounds are always presented at their absolute best and in-keeping with our school values. The applicant must have a good knowledge of maintenance and be an all-round handyperson reflecting our well-established positive school ethos. 

The successful candidate will:

•    Have high standards for the school environment both inside and outside, being pro-active to ensure the school and grounds are well maintained at all times
•    Be able to carry out regular procedures and routines and record the relevant paper and online records in line with Health & Safety requirements
•    Have good DIY skills and ability to plan appropriate times to complete projects and monitor contractor projects when required
•    Ensure the school and grounds are kept safe and secure at all times, championing safeguarding
•    Be willing to go above and beyond and celebrate our school – our environment and our wonderful children, staff and wider community
