We are looking to recruit an experienced driving trainer/ Instructor.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a central role in the development of driver training within the Service.  The successful candidate must be Driving Standards Agency (DSA) registered, LGV (Cat C) instructor or ADI qualified. 

You will be asked to provide training and coaching on all vehicles used within the Service, (training on specific Fire Service vehicles and equipment will be provided to the successful candidate) this will include fire appliances, specialist vehicle equipment, familiarisation and refresher training.  

You will be expected to organise and administer driving theory tests and provide presentations and instruction in driving theory, legislation, Highway Code and advanced road-craft. 
 
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills with direct experience of driving instruction. You must hold a current valid clean LGV (Cat C), B, BE and ‘D1’ drivers licence for a minimum period of the last three years.
