Promoting Independence Worker
The NES provide short term goal focused enablement to young adults with learning or physical disabilities, young people in transition from children's to adult services and individuals with a diagnosis of Asperger’s or Autism.
PIW’s work with younger adults to enable them to foster and maintain independence in all areas of their lives such as daily living skills, social inclusion, travel training and work/education opportunities
PIW’s use a strengths based approach to enable service users to build on existing skills and further develop in order to achieve goals in a safe and measured way using graded techniques such as with travel training.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing service that has achieved much since being launched in 2017.We are looking for enthusiastic and forward-thinking individuals who are looking for a challenging and rewarding role.
You will have good communication and record keeping skills and social care experience through paid employment or relevant experience or voluntary work. You can expect a supportive team environment and you will receive regular supervision, both formally and informally.
There will be opportunity to attend training and development pertinent to the role. You will need to hold a driving license and have the regular use of a vehicle for this post.
