Part Time Cleaning Superviser
Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) Building Cleaning Service in conjunction with East Leake Academy require a new Cleaning Supervisor. Working a 10 hour week, 3.20pm to 5.20pm, Monday to Friday you will be responsible for the supervision a team of 15 cleaning staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the cleaning of a small designated area, the checking of all cleaning areas, completion of all relevant paperwork, including time sheets and holiday sheets – ensuring that all holiday periods are sufficiently covered, ordering of stock, and ensuring that cleaning cupboards are maintained and replenished.
You will be under the direct management of Nottinghamshire County Councils Facilities Management Team, but will be expected to liaise closely with key school contacts to ensure the needs of the building and its users are fully met.
Previous supervisory experience is desired, combined with the ability to designate work fairly, work to tight deadlines and be able to deal with difficult and awkward situations / employees in a professional manner.
This position could also be combined with the 15 hour per week Caretaker Post currently being advertised at Lantern Lane Primary School, to provide a 25 hour per week position.
You will need to be smart in appearance, wearing a provided uniform. We would want you to work positively with staff and parents and be a good team worker.
Previous experience of this type of work would be advantageous but ideally we are looking for someone with interest and a high degree of commitment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff, children and visitors to the school. Training will be provided.
