Part Time Mobile Caretaker
Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) Building Cleaning Service require a new Mobile Cleaner to work around sites in the Rushcliffe area. Working a 20 hour week split shift, comprising 2hours am and 2 hours pm, you will be responsible for working at sites across the Rushcliffe Area to provide cover for staff absences; such as sickness or annual leave.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking the full range of caretaking and cleaning duties across all Nottinghamshire County Council sites throughout the Rushcliffe area. You will need to be self-motivated and willing to work a split shift, between the hours of – 6.00am – 9.00am and 3.00pm – 7.30pm, Monday to Friday. The standard day will require working 2 hours am and 2 hours pm. These hours may increase on occasions due to the requirements of the site.
It is essential that all applicants have their own vehicle for travel to and from site. Travel / millage expenses will be paid.
The successful candidate may be required to act as one of the main key holders for the site they are covering and may be required to attend call outs for alarm activations, plus the opening & locking of the building for lettings, for which additional payments will be made.
You will be under the direct management of Nottinghamshire County Councils Facilities Management Team, but will be expected to liaise closely with key school contacts to ensure the needs of the building and its users are fully met.
Previous cleaning and caretaking experience is desired, although full training will be provided.
You will need to be smart in appearance, wearing a provided uniform. We would want you to work positively with staff and parents and be a good team worker.
