We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Adult Care Financial Services Team, to support with the processing of financial assessments.

The post is based within the Community Assessment Team which is responsible for charging service users who receive care and support managed by Nottinghamshire County Council whilst living in their own home.

Invoices for care and support are issued in line with set schedules which means working to strict deadlines. You will therefore have experience of prioritising tasks and effectively managing your workload in a sometimes-pressurised environment.

You will enjoy working with numbers and be competent in undertaking complex calculations. You will be solution-focused; willing and able to resolve finance-related queries and other issues on your own initiative. You will also be confident in using a number of different IT systems to both input data accurately and retrieve information.

You will be a confident communicator, liaising and forming good relations with a range of people and agencies including team colleagues, social workers, senior managers, external providers, and Councillors. You will also be able to communicate professionally, effectively and empathetically with service users and their families, providing accurate advice and resolutions to queries and problems relating to their financial assessment or Care Home providers regarding their payments.

Training will be provided on all aspects of the role, but you will have some knowledge of Adult Social Care and Health and some knowledge of the State benefit system would be useful, although not essential.

For further information or queries about these roles, please email: jo.clarke@nottscc.gov.uk

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
