Temporary Part Time Library Service Advisors

Inspire: Culture, Learning and Libraries is a Community Benefit Society delivering a range of cultural, library and learning services across Nottinghamshire. Our staff are core to the success of the Society and key to helping us maintain the Customer Service Excellence standard. We have strong public service values as well as a passion for culture, heritage and learning. We are currently looking to recruit to three Library Service Advisor posts based at Arnold Library. Arnold is one of our busiest Level One libraries and was extensively refurbished in 2015. The Library delivers a vibrant core offer which includes weekly sessions for under 5's as well as a monthly Reading Café for adults.

We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive and highly motivated individuals to join our team in delivering excellent library services in Arnold. You must have experience of working with the public and as part of a team and provide consistent levels of high quality customer service. An interest in public library services, culture and learning are an essential requirement of the posts. You will have experience of using computers and ICT competently. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to treat all customers with fairness and respect. You will have the ability to plan and deliver a wide range of library related events , plus assist in promoting the wider Inspire Service offer in the community.

The timetable for each post is worked over a 3-week rota and includes evening working and one Saturday in three. Flexibility to work additional or different hours on an occasional basis is important.
