£7.97 - £8.55 per hour. A Living Wage Allowance is payable on all hours worked to bring the pay rate for this post up to a minimum of £8.45 per hour, the maximum rate of pay is £8.55 per hour.

Nottinghamshire County Council Building Cleaning Services are seeking to employ a Cleaner in Charge to join our existing cleaning team at Sir Donald Bailey Academy.

The school has a proven track record for delivering high quality education to children and we are therefore seeking to attract a Cleaner in Charge to supervise and help clean and maintain the school to a high standard throughout.

You will be required to act as the main key holder for the site and attend alarm activations & lettings as required, for which additional payments will be made, as well as having responsibility for securing the site daily. Supervision of the cleaning team, Janitorial and Cleaning duties as laid down by site are also required. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to follow work based Health and Safety for both him/herself and others in a workplace environment.

You will be required to work a split shift between the hours of 6am – 8:30am and 3:30pm – 6pm which should be flexible to meet the changing needs of the site.

You will be required to take responsibility for the janitorial and porterage responsibilities for both the interior and exterior of the building, dealing with contractors and fault identification. It will also be a requirement that electrical cleaning machinery such as buffing machines must be used periodically.
