Technical Specialist Infrastructure
Job Description
Nottinghamshire County Council is looking for an experienced technical specialist to join its Infrastructure and Design team. The team is technically diverse and you will be working with fellow technical specialists to implement technologies and solutions throughout the organisation to ultimately make a difference to the people of Nottinghamshire.
Role Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to help deliver the organisation's ICT strategy. This includes, but is not limited to, design, development and the implementation of Microsoft enterprise class solutions. You will have a well-rounded skill set with the ability to switch between technologies and demonstrable experience supporting small, medium and large complex ICT projects.
Skills/Experience
Essential:
Microsoft System Centre Suite (Configuration Manager, Service Manager, Orchestrator, Operations Manager), Operations Management Suite (OMS), Office 365, Microsoft Active Directory.
Advantageous:
MS Exchange, Lync / Skype for business, MS SQL, SSAS, SSRS, Provance, AD Federated Services (ADFS), IIS, Cloud based services (IaaS, SaaS), PowerShell, proxy servers, QoS, IBM Flex Chassis switches, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint or Palo Alto), TCP/IP, VPNs, Microsoft Visio, URL filtering, DNS, Internet, DevOps skills and experience
