£15,375 - £16,491 p.a. (£7.97 - £8.55 per hour): A Living Wage Allowance is payable on all hours worked to bring the pay rate for this post up to £8.55 per hour.

Nottinghamshire County Council Building Cleaning Service in conjunction with Crossdale Primary School requires a new Caretaker. Assisted by a cleaner and working a 25 hour week you will be required to clean and maintain the building and offer a range of caretaking services for the benefit of pupils, parents and staff.

We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic person to join our successful team and help us to keep the school site clean and safe

Working a split shift you will be a key holder and will be expected to deliver the a range of caretaking, maintenance, janitorial and cleaning duties. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills.

The post is initially being offered on a term time only basis, however additional hours may be agreed for specific tasks during holiday periods.

You will need to be smart in appearance, wearing a provided uniform and need to be flexible in your approach to lettings, for which additional payments will be made. We would want you to work positively with staff, parents and children and be a good team worker.

Previous experience of this type of work would be advantageous but ideally we are looking for someone with interest and a high degree of commitment to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment for staff, children and visitors to the school.
