An opportunity has arisen to recruit an additional part time team manager for the County Wide Approved Mental Health Professional team. This post will manage and lead a team of Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) who undertake the majority of Mental Health Act Assessments across the county. The successful post holder will lead on all aspects of Mental Health Act work for the council, providing leadership for the AMHPs in the locality teams; developing and updating policies and working closely with partner agencies and training colleagues. It is important to have a good understanding of the main issues affecting this service area and an excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act. The successful person will be working alongside and supporting the current full time manager, providing cover where necessary and working flexibly to provide the most effective management arrangements for this busy team.

Although services operate during normal office hours, the successful person will be required, where necessary, to provide management cover for the team from 5.00pm until 8.00pm, for which payment will be made in line with the departments Standby and Call out policy.

The successful person will be managed by the Group Manager for Younger Adults Mid Notts and will be part of the Younger Adults Team Managers group.
