Juno Women’s Aid, Chaucer Street, Nottingham
NJC Scale Point 20- £23,927

Here at Juno Women’s Aid, what we do is important. We save lives. In the UK 1 in 3 women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime and in Nottingham we are here to support those women and children experiencing or escaping it.

We are the sixth largest accredited domestic abuse charity in England. We’ve been around for almost 40 years and in that time we’ve built up a real depth of knowledge. We currently have 85 employees and an annual turnover in the region of £2m.

Juno Women’s Aid is an ambitious and resourceful charity, passionate about helping women and their children move forward to live their lives free from abuse. In a year, we answer around 10,000 calls on our helpline, support over 6,000 women and 260 children.

As a Domestic Violence specialist, you will work pro-actively with women, offering risk assessed, strength based, and needs led support. You will work alongside each woman, throughout her journey, agreeing individual safety support plans as well as advocating on her behalf to achieve safe and independent lives.

It is an occupational requirement that applications are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010. Juno Women’s Aid is committed to equality and diversity and encourages applicants from BME, lesbian or bisexual backgrounds. In our annual staff survey, 95% of our employees would recommend Juno Women’s Aid as an employer, 98% stated that they feel proud to work for Juno Women’s Aid while 100% consider that Juno Women’s Aid is an inclusive organisation that values diversity.
