An opportunity has arisen within the Adoption East Midlands agency for a business support administrator.  The post is primarily needed to support the panels processes which approve prospective adopters and seek to match children in need of a permanent home with their prospective parents.

The current post holder is due to retire at the end of March 2021 and currently works 22.5 hours per week over Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday although there is some flexibility in the work pattern and will be by agreement with the team's manager

The team is busy, and the work fast paced and will draw heavily on your organisational skills and your proactive approach to your work. You will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with an interest in the best outcomes for children and their families. You will have excellent note taking skills as well as good listening and communication skills, experience of using common Microsoft Office packages, e.g. Word and Outlook, an eye for detail and the resilience to handle confidential and sometimes distressing information. In return, you will be joining an organisation with excellent employee terms and conditions, opportunities for career development and the chance to make a real difference to the children and families of Nottingham/Nottinghamshire and Derby/Derbyshire.

Whilst the nominal base for this post is West Bridgford, Nottingham - currently all staff are working from home and as the work of this team covers the Nottingham/Nottinghamshire and Derby/Derbyshire regions the actual work base can be flexible if required. Panels are currently undertaken virtually through Microsoft Teams.
