Want to work in a fast moving, and varied role?

We have an available position within our Statutory Debt Recovery Team. The purpose of the role is to maximise the recovery of debt owned to the Authority, in order to minimise the amount which needs to be referred for further action. One of the key components of this is the ability to identify those who can't pay as opposed to those who won't pay, whilst re-educating the customer base to ensure future invoices are paid on time. We are looking for an enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual who can use their own initiative in order to successfully negotiate payment of outstanding Residential, and Personal Budget Debt.

You will be responsible for managing your own workload, whilst working within the team handling phone calls as well as correspondence. No one day will be the same!

We are looking for somebody with at least 1 years experience of Debt Collection, whilst being comfortable with dealing with Vulnerable Individuals. You will need to demonstrate knowledge of the Care Act 2014.

The role will involve utilisation of SAP, as well as Office packages such as Excel, Word, and SharePoint.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
