Inspire Learning is keen to recruit several casual Learning Support Assistants to support classroom delivery in the 2018/19 academic year.

We work with 16 to 19 year-olds on full-time Study Programmes. Some of these learners have mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or behavioural needs. While with us, they work towards employability units, vocational units, Maths, English and work experience. They also benefit from the excellent pastoral care provided by our staff.

We operate from 9 bases across Nottinghamshire, and are initially looking to recruit support in our Sutton-in-Ashfield and Mansfield bases, though further vacancies in other bases are likely to arise in the near future.

You should have experience of developing constructive working relationships with other professionals and with 16 to 19 year olds in an educational setting. Additionally, he or she will have a good understanding of the issues facing young people in today’s society and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude to educating and training young people.

A–C GCSE grades (or equivalent) and recognised qualifications in support work would be beneficial; however, it is essential you have the ability to recognise and respond to the needs of individuals, and to encourage and motivate others.

The number of hours will vary depending upon demand but will be on average between 2 and 4 days a week in term-time.

For further information please contact Simon Cook on 01623 476830.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

This vacancy is closed to applications.
