Grade 1, Scale Points 6 – 8 (Hourly Rate £8.50 - £8.62)

10 hours per week – after school – 3.30pm – 5.30pm

The Governors at Holgate Primary School and Nursery are looking to employ a part time cleaner to join our existing site team and further enhance the high standard of cleanliness of the school site. The position would start in September at the start of the school term, however holiday cleaning may be available through July and August.

The successful candidate will be required to work between the hours of 3.30pm – 5.30pm Monday – Friday during term time and available for holiday cleaning during the school holidays. The successful candidate will be responsible for the cleanliness of a designated cleaning area within the site.

Duties will include: Vacuuming, washroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing of furniture and window cleaning. (Occasional use of electrical clean machinery i.e. Buffing Machine and Wet Pick Up). We are therefore looking for candidates who enjoy working in a busy environment as part of a team of staff and are able to communicate at all levels. Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Although the successful candidate will play a vital role as part of a site team of cleaning staff, this post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and you will be expected to manage your daily routine to meet the needs of the site.
