An opportunity has arisen within the Physical Disability Team covering Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe on a permanent, full time basis.

As a HCPC registered Social Worker in the team you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your motivation and commitment to promoting the independence and wellbeing of young people with Physical Disabilities and their carers.

Experience of person centred safeguarding practice; completing assessments and support plans, and reviewing existing packages of care within the remit of the Adult Care Strategy and the Care Act is essential. Working alongside Social Care staff and Occupational Therapists your ability to work in a fast paced, multi- disciplinary, team will be an advantage, as will good communication skills and knowledge of IT systems.

In return for your commitment we are able to provide a supportive team environment with opportunities to develop your skills and experience. You will receive regular supervision, both formally and informally and be supported to attend training to progress your career and meet the HCPC’s CPD requirements. You will need to hold a driving licence and have the regular use of a vehicle for this post.

If you would like further details about this opportunity and would like to find out more then please contact Darren Hayward on 0115 8546403.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
