Bracken Hill School provides a very successful learning environment where pupils with a wide range of special educational needs are valued, encouraged and challenged to learn, achieve and grow. In the schools most recent Ofsted Inspection (Sept 12) the school was judged to be good.

Bracken Hill is an outward looking school and with a newly appointed Head Teacher, the Governing Body is looking to further strengthen the Senior Leadership Team with the appointment of a committed, enthusiastic and dynamic Deputy Head Teacher. The successful applicant will be expected to share and deliver the strategic vision and work in close partnership with the Head Teacher and dedicated and hardworking staff team to achieve the future developments for the school.

We need a person who is:

•A strong and effective leader with excellent managerial and interpersonal skills who can inspire and motivate others

•A creative, enthusiastic and innovative practitioner who enjoys leading learning

•Able to find solutions and develop opportunities

•Passionate and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for young people with complex and challenging needs

•Able to maintain a good sense of humour
