We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Network Engineer to take a prominent role in our friendly and dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include 3rd line, maintenance, support and ownership of the Authorities LAN/WAN infrastructure and services, as well as taking a lead role in project delivery activities.  Methodical in your approach to work, and able to deliver to deadlines, you will have in-depth knowledge and a proven track record of supporting an enterprise WAN / LAN infrastructure, as well as in depth experience of network switching, routing, and supporting services within enterprise LAN / WAN infrastructure.

Skills and/or experience, in the configuration and deployment of the following are essential:

  • Cisco / Extreme / Azure Virtual Network devices
  • Firewalls (Checkpoint, CiscoASA, PaloAlto)
  • Reverse Proxy Servers (Bluecoat)
  • Load Balancers (F5)
  • Wireless LAN Controllers / Access Points (Cisco, Extreme)
  • Network management and diagnostic tools (Solarwinds)
  • Proficiency in technical documentation writing

In addition to possessing: 

  • Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.
  • Good inter-personal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
