This is an exciting opportunity for you to excel in a highly rewarding area of work. In light of increased demand for DoLS assessments and upcoming legislative change, we are looking for a dedicated part-time Service Advisor with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly and confidently as we streamline our assessment processes to ensure better outcomes for service users.

The post is based at Sutton in Ashfield, where you will be provided with a supportive team environment. Your role will include liaising with other professionals, providing advice and guidance to referrers, and you will have good skills in prioritising and screening referrals, managing your workload demands and meeting deadlines.

You will have excellent IT skills, knowledge of community care services and relevant legislation, including the Care Act (2014), the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. Ideally you will have at least two years’ experience of care work, though this is not essential. You will have experience of working with the public, keeping records and constructing reports.

This post carries an authorised user car allowance or a taxi service for disabled people.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
