Ash Lea School governors are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to delivering a high standard of classroom support as part of a caring and child focused class team. 

Ash Lea is a special school for children from 3-18 years old with severe and complex educational needs located in Cotgrave.  

The successful candidates will need to be working toward or have achieved an NVQ level 3 or equivalent, preferably with an educational focus. Knowledge of how children learn, early learning strategies, child protection, child development and the SEN code of practice is desirable. Experience of working within a special educational setting as well as training in First Aid, CRB and Moving and Handling would be advantageous. The ability to work under pressure, while meeting the ever-changing needs of the school environment, is essential. You will need to be proactive and work on your own initiative whilst being part of a wider team. 

Working hours are Monday – Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.30- 4.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch. This contract is offered as a fixed term contract for 2 terms with the option of permanent for the right candidate.
