Ash Lea School Governors are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to delivering a high standard of personal care support as part of a caring and child focused team. 

Ash Lea is a special school for children from 3-18 years old with severe and complex educational needs located in Cotgrave.  

The successful candidate will be assisting pupils in implementing their own personal care programmes during the school day, specifically in relation to practical support for:

  • Personal hygiene
  • Toileting and continence training
  • Eating and drinking
  • Therapy sessions 

Working in cooperation with other key workers as part of a busy team, you will be involved in supporting the pupils’ educational and health care needs under the guidance of the class teacher. Experience of working within a health, care or SEN setting would be desirable, along with training in first aid, MAPA and Moving and Handling, however, full training will be given. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection is essential. 

Working hours are 9.00am–3.30pm Monday – Friday, with half an hour for lunch, totalling 30 hours per week.
