The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, ambitious   and inspirational teacher/school leader to be one of the two Deputy   Headteachers of this ‘Beyond Expectations’ junior school. We are looking for a teacher of outstanding   ability who would welcome the opportunity to become an equally outstanding senior leader. Sir John Sherbrooke is an ambitious, forward thinking school, which strives for excellence in fresh, vibrant and distinctive ways and after   our recent successful Ofsted inspection, we are looking for someone who has the drive, capability and personality to help take the school even further. To help with this, the successful candidate will not just receive quality CPD  but will also get the opportunity to work with several other highly capable and motivated senior leaders, as part of the school and our small, school focused MAT. We also fully engage in numerous support networks outside of the MAT which provide excellent opportunities for development and innovation. These are exciting times and if you think you might be interested in taking on the challenge of becoming an excellent school leader at a highly supportive and creative school (whatever your experience is in terms of number of years) please get in touch. Think positively, you could be the ideal person.

Benefits of being a Deputy Head at Sir John Sherbrooke include:

  • NPQSL training (if not already done)
  • Being a co-leader of the school, with a real chance to make an impact
  • Play a wider role within the MAT, if wanted
  • Weekly leadership time out of the classroom
  • Being part of a school that takes staff wellbeing seriously
  • Being a key member of a leadership team that is creative, forward thinking, highly motivated, with a positive approach to helping all children and staff become the best they can be.
