Do you have experience of working with young people aged 11 – 16?

Christ The King are looking to appoint an Alternative Provision Supervisor to work in our existing dedicated and successful support team. You will work with a range of students supporting them with issues such as low self-esteem, challenging behaviour, absence and punctuality.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week, on a term time only basis.

We are part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, and we bring together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire. 

About the role
As Alternative Provision Supervisor you will:

•  To implement the Behaviour for learning policy which supports the culture of the Damascus Centre in line with the Catholic ethos of Christ the King 
•  Have experience of working with young people especially in improving behaviour for learning.
•  Be caring and supportive and have a good understanding of the issues our young people encounter.
•  Have excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with our parents and carers and delivering training to our students in areas such as anger management.
•  Create a bespoke curriculum to develop individual’s learning needs

About you

•  Good IT skills.
•  Ability to work on your own initiative and to prioritise tasks.
•  Experiences of working with young people in a supportive role
•  Have a minimum of five GCSEs or equivalent which includes English and Maths 
•  An understanding of behavioural issues in schools
