Due to the promotion of the previous post holder, Greythorn Primary School is looking to appoint a new Head teacher. You have a sensational opportunity as an aspiring or experienced Head teacher to lead a school that sits at the heart of its community, with strong relationships with parents and carers, a strong team and a commitment to deliver exceptional learning experiences for all children. Support is available to enable an ambitious new Head teacher, to deliver an exceptional school or for an experienced Head ready to embrace this challenge alongside the opportunity for system leadership across the trust.

Greythorn is a small school in West Bridgford with a true sense of family and belonging. The current post holder has worked tirelessly to embed a strong curriculum, established team, and develop a clear vision for the school. Greythorn is a school full of happy children, who believe in themselves, have a voice in developing the school and a thirst for learning and life. We are looking for a Head Teacher that demonstrates compassion, clarity, courage, and integrity, that can further develop the vision for the school and make it their own, making everyday count for every child. No two schools within our trust are the same and we actively encourage you to innovate and develop your own identity and vision for your school and your community.

As part of Flying High Partnership, you will have significant support, enabling you to realise your vision, with a sharp focus on school improvement. Significant capacity is available through our education team, which will include the support of an allocated Director of Quality Assurance and School Improvement (DQASI). This capacity will evolve based on your needs and the needs of your school and includes access to wider support through our team of Lead Practitioners, substantial CPL and support around recruitment. In addition, significant support is available in HR, Finance, Estates and Health and Safety, ensuring as the leader of Greythorn you have the tools to deliver something truly exceptional.

• A passion for teaching and learning.
• Can lead the team to embed a culture of high expectations which consistently delivers the highest outcomes and standards.
• Has the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the school community.
• Can motivate and inspire others and to work as a part of a wider support team (The Flying High Partnership).
• Will actively contribute to the wider Flying High Partnership.
• Is outward facing and committed to establishing a strong relationship with parents and the local community.
• Willing to roll up their sleeves up and get stuck in.
• Can share and learn from best practice whilst knowing how to exploit the partnership opportunities we have within the Multi Academy Trust and Flying High Futures.
