Are you ready for a new challenge? An opportunity has arisen to join Day Services across the North of Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to join our team. You will work with adults of all ages who have a wide range of disabilities using a strength-based, person-centred approach to understand and support people to achieve the goals that are meaningful to them.

You will need to be well organised, have exceptional communication skills and be a positive role model. You will work well as part of a team and have effective relationships with people who use the service, colleagues, carers, other professionals and the wider community. You will also be required to supervise the work of other staff daily with the allocation of workload, tasks and health and safety functions. You will have a can-do attitude, lead by example, and demonstrate positivity and respect to people who use the services.

Excellent report and recording skills are essential to ensure the delivery of person-centred care and support plans to maximise independence and to give people choice and control over their lives.

You will need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle (a taxi service will be provided where disability precludes this), have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with people with disabilities or in a care setting and hold a social care qualification (NVQ3, Diploma in Care 4 or equivalent).

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
