An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Senior Practitioner in the Ageing Well Newark and Sherwood Community Team.

You will join a well-established team of Social Workers and Community Care Officers.

You will provide a lead practitioner role supporting the development of practice in the key areas of safeguarding and mental capacity act.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and organised worker who is ready for the next challenge within the departmental changes.

The post holder will manage a team of Community Care Officers and Social Workers and take part in a manager rota, sharing responsibility for allocation of work and supporting staff with complex caseloads.  

The team’s main function is to undertake Care and Support Assessments, commissioning, safeguarding investigations, fulfilling statutory obligations under the Mental Capacity Act.

Work is fast paced and challenging over a varied range of service user groups. The role will require strong leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

You will need to be a Qualified Social Worker who is Practice Educator, BIA or AMHP qualified.
