Clayfields House is an ‘Outstanding’ Secure Children’s Home. Have you got what it takes to join an ‘Outstanding’ team?

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic people to join a team working to meet the complex needs of young people at the Centre.

Help us to make a difference to the lives of young people in trouble. We believe everyone can achieve ‘positive change’ and we need ‘positive thinkers’ to help maintain a centre of excellence for young people who are sentenced, on remand or on a welfare order.

Working a variety of shifts, late, early, weekends and bank holidays, you will be involved in providing fulfilling and engaging activities to our young people.

Shift work has a significant impact on your lifestyle and you will need to consider this before you apply.

You will be a team player, more interested in solutions than problems, and resilient enough to act as an anchor to young people who need safety, contentment and a new sense of direction in life.

Clayfields House provides great support and opportunities for promotion throughout the Centre.

You must have a minimum of 6 months experience of working with children, young people or adults either in a voluntary, work or other relevant setting. You must have a good standard of literacy and if not already held, you will be expected to attain the Level 3 Diploma for Children & Young People.

Applicants must be at least 22 years of age.

For informal discussion regarding this position, please telephone 01159170010 and ask to speak to the Duty Manager.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
