In order to apply for this post you must be willing to undertake training against an appropriate Apprenticeship Standard that will be delivered by an approved training provider.

Apprenticeships are open to all ages and abilities and are designed to encourage people who may not have the necessary experience or qualifications to access employment.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Council’s Corporate Leadership Business Support Team on a level 3 or 4 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.

You will be primarily responsible for providing daily PA and administrative support to Corporate and Service Directors at Nottinghamshire County Council, based at County Hall in West Bridgford. You will be working in a high profile and busy environment where there is regular contact with senior officers, Members and external organisations.

In particular the post holder will:

  • Provide some direct PA support as required
  • Arrange meetings (internal and external) and associated papers
  • Provide support for external meetings including taking minutes
  • Arrange travel and accommodation as required for senior officers
  • Provide diary and email management
  • Monitor and review incoming correspondence on behalf of Directors and where appropriate, ensure timescales for responses are met.
  • Lead on a number of number administrative processes within the Corporate Leadership Office.
  • Work with the Senior Executive Officer to the Chief Executive

It is expected that the post holder will complete the Business Administrator level 3, and have ambitions to provide high quality executive support to senior officers within the organisation. The apprenticeship will take 18-24 months to complete.
