Design & Technology Assistant

The Garibaldi School is a successful and popular 11-18 school which serves its local community well by providing a first rate education for all its students. We joined the Nova Education Trust as an academy from October 2017.

Results in 2017 were strong with a P8 score of +0.24; 39% of students achieving 5+ including English and Maths (59% achieving 4+) and 99% of students at A level gaining a Grade A-E. We have created a safe environment where students can feel comfortable, well supported and confident. We are looking to appoint a Technician to join our Design & Technology team. The main responsibilities of this post are to maintain and operate CAD/CAM machinery, prepare equipment and materials and support the DT department.

You will:

• Have experience of working in an education/industrial environment
• Possess FE/vocational accreditation or equivalent to the role
• Have experience of working with young people
• Be hardworking
• Have an awareness of current health & safety regulations
• Share an understanding that all members of staff have a collective responsibility to ensure that every student achieves to the best of their ability
