Engagement Tutor
Job Purpose: To deliver an intervention and support programme to ‘at risk’ Year 9 students from the Trust’s group of schools. Responsible for the planning, delivery and development of an engaging project-based curriculum that includes English and Maths.
An opportunity to join our exciting provision
The Trust is the incorporation of the School Behaviour and Attendance Partnership (SBAP) in North Ashfield. To date, the partnership between Ashfield School, Kirkby College, Quarrydale Academy and Sutton Community Academy has been extremely effective in lowering permanent exclusion rates and supporting young people at risk of permanent exclusion. However, our work isn’t exclusively about behaviour; we support students from a variety of backgrounds, and with a wide range of issues that often make access to mainstream education a challenging prospect.
The partnership established the highly successful SPACE Learning Centre over six years ago, providing intervention and alternative education in North Ashfield. Owing to the introduction of a new KS4 programme, the centre has expanded to offer better provision for young people in North Ashfield.
