We are looking to recruit looking for an experienced and dedicated Data and Exams Leader to fill a full time role.

Purpose: (Summary)

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the entire examination process and data systems within The Brunts Academy and across the trust as required.
  • To be aware of the Data Protection Act.
  • To manage the Examinations budget.
  • Attend Senior Leadership Team, full Governing Body and Governors’ portfolio meetings as and when required
  • Ensure data is collected, analysed and evaluated in an efficient and effective manner to support Academy self-evaluation
  • To ensure all student, parent and staff data inputted onto SIMS database is correct in line with all appropriate policies.
  • Responsible for analysis and provision of reports for use at all levels including Local Authority representatives, Ofsted, DfE when required for quality assurance processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all exam processes and procedures are carried out in accordance with all JCQ and awarding body guidelines through the line management of the Data and Exams Assistant and being present where needed at the beginning and end of each examination session
  • Ensure data collection systems providing information to stakeholders are streamlined to maximise efficiency of the data supplied
  • To ensure that all access arrangements for students are in place and meet current legislation
  • To have oversight of all internal tests / mock examinations and ensure they are carried out correctly
  • To ensure all qualifications entered will be counted in the performance tables unless expressly approved by the Headteacher.
  • To work with other institutions as required to facilitate examination entries for shared students.
  • To ensure the processing of examination entries and results are carried out on time and accurately.
  • To liaise with students, parents and outside agencies as required
  • To manage the team of examination and data team within The Brunts Academy.
  • To be ensure the procedure relating to the receiving, security and dispatching of examination papers, complies with the Awarding Body procedures.
  • To ensure the issuing of results to students and/or designated persons and subject staff is carried out.
