KS1 Class Teacher to cover maternity leave

Langold Dyscarr is a strong and vibrant school community situated to the north of Worksop. We currently have 270 pupils on roll and serve an ex-mining area. Our mission statement is, “Nurturing learning pioneers who change their community for the better.”

We believe that every child, regardless of personal circumstances, should have the opportunity to thrive by being nurtured and taught in ways that suit them by staff who take the time to understand them, working in partnership with parents and carers, to enable them to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for an excellent classroom teacher, dedicated to improving the life chances of the children in their care, to join our hard-working and talented team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a highly capable classroom practitioner.
  • Enthuses and challenges all pupils through stimulating and creative teaching.
  • Has high expectations and excellent discipline.
  • Demonstrates effective, creative planning which meets the needs of all learners and demonstrating a range of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Has strong knowledge of the characteristics of the effective teaching and learning strategies necessary in order to support pupils with SEND and/or additional behaviour needs.
  • Possesses the interpersonal skills to develop good relationships with all members of staff, parents and other partners.
