Assistant Principal (Secondary) with Science Specialism

Serlby Park Academy are looking to appoint An Assistant Principal (Secondary) with Science specialism to join our academy in April 2023 on a full-time, permanent basis. As an Assistant Principal, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team of the academy, working within the ‘Deeps’ as assigned by the Principal. You will proactively support the Principal / Vice Principal / AAB members to ensure that the leadership and management of the academy runs at the most effective level possible.

Delta Science recorded the highest ever outcomes in 2022 with 70% of students across all of our academies attaining at least two grade 4's or better in science and science progress being +0.44. Outcomes in triple science across the trust were significantly above national average and this is an area we are looking to expand. 

In April 2022, Delta Science was designated as the science learning partner (STEM) for the South and East Yorkshire region, comprising of over 1100 schools and academies serving early years through to post 16. The SLP provide CPD in subject knowledge, leadership and pedagogy to our partner schools. 

In the summer term we delivered over 830 hours of CPD and hosted a regional science conference, with a keynote from Professor Jim Al-Khalili.
