The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) handles safeguarding concerns, assessing risk and sharing information when people report abuse or neglect. Could you be part of this successful team, working with professionals from social care, the police, health and other agencies to help vulnerable children and adults?

We’re looking for committed and collaborative people who want to make a real difference. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity, working in a fast-paced, modern environment with different public agencies where you can develop your skills. Your work will help to stop abuse and keep vulnerable people safe.

You will be vital to the effectiveness of the MASH, handling telephone calls and emails in relation to Children’s Social Care and Adult Safeguarding, working alongside Social Care professionals.

You will need to be adaptable, to work well under pressure both individually and as part of a team and to work to tight timescales. You will need excellent communication skills to ask questions sensitively of professionals and members of the public calling in.

You will need to have experience of working in a Social Care environment or related field and have strong ICT skills.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
