Nottinghamshire County Council Building, Cleaning Services, in conjunction with Farnsfield St Michaels Church of England Primary School, are looking to employ a new 12.5 hour per week Cleaner, who will work as part of a small team to ensure that the highest standards of cleaning are achieved.

The working times will be 3.30pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, the post is Term Time Only with the addition of 25 deep clean days during the school closure periods. The deep clean days are in set weeks throughout the year to ensure that the school can be thoroughly deep cleaned during those times.

The school is a friendly welcoming school that is proud of its reputation in the community, and a clean school is very much appreciated by the pupils, staff & parents.

Farnsfield Village is situated 4.5 miles from Southwell, 14 miles from Newark, and 8.5 miles from Ollerton & Mansfield.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the cleanliness of a designated area within the school. Duties will include: vacuuming, washroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting and glass cleaning (occasional use of electrical cleaning machinery i.e. buffing machine and wet pick up may be required).

Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. This post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and you will be expected to programme your daily routine to meet the needs of the site.
