We are seeking to recruit 2 enthusiastic and highly motivated Social Workers to Children’s Social Care in the MASH.

The MASH is the first point of contact for all potential safeguarding concerns in relation to children and adults to enable decisions to be made at an early stage regarding the appropriate services required.

Representatives from Children’s and Adult's Social Care; Nottinghamshire Police; Nottinghamshire Probation; the Health Partnership Group; Early Help Services; Trading Standards and an Education Adviser are all based in the same building. Partners work together to identify and assess risk to children and by sharing information.

The Social Workers in the MASH receive and process incoming referrals, share as appropriate, to determine thresholds and ensure that a proportionate response is provided to families, where threshold is met, in a timely manner.

You will need to have the ability to:

  • Assess safeguarding concerns about vulnerable children at risk
  • Work Multi-Agency and collate information from partner agencies to make better decisions
  • Work in a challenging but rewarding role putting social work judgement at the heart of decision making

You will need to be registered with Social Work England and have a CQSW/Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent).

So, if you’d like to be part of our future workforce, and build your career with us, we would like to hear from you!

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
