Do you want a key role in managing change across a countywide, multi-agency strategic Board?

Funded by the Office of the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner we have a fixed term (2 years) Project Manager post available to support the Safer Nottinghamshire Board’s response to developing problem solving structures with communities. You would take a lead role in developing effective integrated working underpinned by data sharing to reduce crime and severity scores in neighbourhoods. You would also make a significant contribution to developing a robust performance framework to enable the Board to monitor delivery and outcomes across the county.

You would also:

  • Develop a delivery plan that sets out the key actions, milestones, outputs/outcomes and partners responsibilities to support delivery.

  • Establish and support a multi-agency programme board that will oversee the implementation of the delivery plan, manage risks and overcome barriers.

  • Support and advise the Chair of the Safer Nottinghamshire Board Executive Group on progress by providing regular written up dates against the delivery of the programme and performance.

The ideal candidate will understand the landscape for the Safer Nottinghamshire Board, Community Safety Partnerships, Neighbourhood Policing and community engagement. A knowledge of best practice in Neighbourhood Policing, locality working and problem solving approaches is required as is experience of managing projects in complex environments using recognised approaches, such as PRINCE2. Significant experience is needed of working effectively within a partnership setting, including understanding what intelligence and information is needed to inform the setting of strategic priorities and to inform action planning. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are a must.

Based within the Communities Team, in the Nottinghamshire County Council Place Department at County Hall there will be a need to travel to locations across Nottinghamshire to work with local partners. A flexible approach to work is supported in line with the Council’s Smarter Working strategy including working from other bases, locations and home where appropriate.
